Our church was founded by Vasily Shur in the summer of 1995 after he moved to the United States following the collapse of the Soviet Union. With a heart for Christ and the Ukrainian community, Vasily began with 45 members, dedicated to sharing the gospel and growing in faith.

In November 2022, after Vasily went to be with the Lord, Peter Frolov was ordained as pastor. Under his leadership, we continue to focus on Christ’s love, living out His mission, and sharing the gospel with all.

We joyfully celebrated the ordination of Peter Frolov to the pastoral ministry and Nikolai Yurchuk to the deacon ministry on November 13, 2022, at the West Seattle Ukrainian Church, founded by Vasily Shur.
